date to file for the h1-b for this year

when is a good 'safe' date to file the h1b visa? I know the first week of april is the best, but currently I am joining a company. when is the suggested final join date even with a $1000 premium processing fee?

when u say as soon as I can, does that mean as soon as the 2nd week of april otherwise the cap is over?

I am trying my best to get it filed during the first week of April but it may delay for one or two more weeks due to me going to a new employer as of right now.

any ideas?
 
No one can predict how quick quota gets exhausted. April 1 for sure is good, end of April probably, mid of May might be risky.
But again no one can predict.
 
okay, just needed a ballpark estimate, cause in general I have no idea of what kind of timeframe existed for filings...could be hours, days, weeks or months...in this case its days - weeks
