Date of Birth different on certificate and passport

I got my Birth Certificate from Muncipality and the date is 3 months older than the passport date. I talked to my attorney and she is giving me 2 options:

1st one is to get an affidavit from parents saying that the date of birth in the certificate is wrong and the corrcet one is on the passport.

2nd options is to get the passport change with the certificate date.

My attorney has the original certificate and she is going to submit this one in either case.

Which option should I go for?

If I choose 1st one what would be the problem at later stage.

I am also in same boat, my DOB Certificate and Passport has different date of births, one month difference.
Pls let me know if you find some solution.
