Date is now Current

Hello,

My priority date is now Current. But my lawyer says that I will have to wait till June to file for my I-485 since the dates do not become current till June. It makes sense but since I have given up hopes on him, I just wanted to check here too. Is he making a correct statement ? I thought I should be able to file for 485 in this month itself.

Your attorney is correct. The dates have moved forward in the June 2007 bulletin which will be effective June 1, 2007. You should be able to file on or after that date.

You have not mentioned your PD. without that it is hard to reply.
Anyways see which bulletin makes your PD current.
If June then you need to wait till June 1st for filing.

However, you can make the docs ready in 2 weeks.
