It is not necessarily quick after you submit RFE. My RFE was received by Nebraska on 30 September. I am still waiting to hear from them ...my on-line status still reflects the 570-600 days message ....

Before RFE was asked the message was the same for ages saying we received your application in Nov 99 ....
Even FP request does not show up on online status.
As soon as they send RFE you will know online.
Receiving RFE means your FP is cleared from FBI.

Relax and wait....Things are moving now!

InQ4GC, please clarify this for me one last time ,it was discussed before but i am still confused, is the online status date ND or RD?

The online status is the ND which is the later date. It will remain the same and unchanged for years till you get an RFE.

I know instances of people who did not receive reply as expected and then they got a re-fingerprint notice or an RFE asking for a lot of information. Basically if your application is complete and FP is cleared you will hear from them on schedule.
First step for most people is FP notice and then an RFE.
According to me everyone with ND before 11/15/99 is being processed.

You can call the 800 number and ask the officer to "put an enquiry" for you if your notice date is due. If your ND is after 11/15/99 dont even bother ....Just wait and check BCIS site for asylum adjustment date update at this URL
