Hi benco,

Just an observation. Since you were granted asylum in 96, why did you apply for adjustment of status in 99 ? Why did you waste two years?

Dates are similar for other members of my family. I am convinced BCIS is far better organized than the old INS!!

The RFE documents like Medical, Birth Certificate etc was sent and I had this message. But GC approval came within 16 days.

The message after receipt of RFE info was as under.

On October 14, 2003, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

After you send in RFE documents it is very quick.
