DAMN.... RFE issued

As I expected I got an RFE on 10/15/02(checked online status)..dont know the reason for RFE. waiting for the INS letter.:(

PD:7/26/00
RD:10/29/01
ND:12/03/01
FP: 02/01/02

EAC-02-053-5XXXX

damn..I waited for 8 months for my I140 to get approved and nearly 13 months for 485 and now finally RFE :(
 
Want reason to cheer even for RFE?

Click on "Breaking News" section of http://www.immigration-law.com/ and see news item maked as "Update 11/17/2002 Disappointing INS Statistics of Adjudications as Reflected in Monthly Statistics Report for September 2002." You will see INS-released monthly statistics for the month of Sept. 2002.

The data are so discouraging that one might feel lucky even for getting an RFE - at least they opened the case!!

Baven, I wish your RFE be a trifle and that you get approved as soon as you submit your response.

There are several things not clear form those data:

1. Do they also include I-140 in data? Since they include I-130, I guess I-140 is also included. If so, denials are not that catastrophic as they might appear on first sight (majority of EB-1, and NIW based I-140 are denied most of the times).

2. Number of denials and backlog information ONLY for I-485 are not clear.

Data also include family-based I-485.

Anyway, denial and backlog statistics are dismal in general.

Don't worry baven you'll get through it. Look at the bright side atleast you got a response! Most RFE cases are just formalities anyways.
