Damaged passport but fine visa

Hi,

My passport got wet and it got damaged because of that. The dampness didnt reach the visa page and it was not damaged (only small marks on the edges of page.)

I have not got a new passport and getting a new stamping seems to be pain. As my visa is near expiry and asking for new stamping with old one still valid seems to be lil odd and with high chances of rejection.

Can some one guide me.. as what should be right course of action in this regard.

Should i travel to us with both the passport and take my chances.. instead of takes chances at consulate.

you can get new passport copy and show both the passport at POE if visa stamp is clear. keep both passport stapled.
