Gurus,

I have applied for LC under old system(non-PERM) before the end of my 5th year of H1-B. In case, if my LC gets denied, can I get 7th year extension?

Thanks,

If your LC gets denied You can't get Extension.. But If you file / challenge the Denial you can get extension based on pending appeal.

All these June July Approvals indicate..

Alls these approvals indicate that the Dallas BEC Approval queue has moved into June/July 2002 RIR cases.

I am really at my wits end on what happened to cases like ours from April/May 2002 ?

Icarus,
We need your help on this one my friend

Thanks

We have also seen an approval for PD Aug 2002 so I am at MY wits' end on what happened to cases like mine (PD June 2002)

Greatly appreciate your expert comments, Icarus

One of my friends who has a PD of May 2002 (California) got his 45 day later a few months back. His case was assigned to Philadelphia instead of Dallas. According to his lawyer, someof the calif cases went to the Philly office.
Make sure your case is in Dallas.

Dallas BEC Approving CA filings only?

Hi All

Is it true that most of the cases being approved at Dallas BEC are from CA or San Fransisco?

As far as I know San Francisco is in CA :).

San Francisco regional ofiice probably contributed to the backlog the most.
The bulk of the oldest cases are from them, consequently there is better chance that the next case in the queue is from CA.

Dallas had fewer cases but was not particularly efficient either. Besides the staff in the Dallas BEC already knew how to process the cases according to the Texas standards that probably why they could start processing them sooner.

I think, Icarus has already asnwered this.

At that point, the next case pulled from queue is worked until the same point (one of four above). Obviously, if cert is recommended, it goes into C.O.'s queue for Final Review and Cert. This is where your fastest turn-around is seen. On the other hand, if one of the other 3 options come into play, things slow down to accommodate the situation and a case with a later PD date that is clean and gets recommended for cert possibly may get past the case being worked under 2,3 or 4.

Need to see BEC Approval notice on this portal

Just a wish

I want to see message flashing at the top by Administrator "We have started receiving Approvals from BEC for RIR/Regular cases". That would be stage towards celebration of Labor Approvals!

I am sure this forum is owned by more popular and bigger attorney than some others like murthy.com

My attorney office received about 70 labor approvals from BEC for PD's in 2001, 2002 and 2003. I do not have breakdown on Dallas and Phylli. They say the approvals are random and not in order of PD.

this is a very strange news. approvals of PD of 2003???? this doesn't make sense.

the other wierd news is that ur lawyer got 70 approvals whereas big lawyers like murthy didn't get any yet. very weird too!!!

It does make sense.. This week it was expected (bunches of approval) !

also, murthy.com is a good informative site, Sheela Murthy is a great attorney. BUT that does not make the firm big shot ! Its still a mid level firm & they should also receive approvals soon.

Aproval of Jan 2004

Hi guys,

I just got an email from my lawyer for one of the approval she received it.

---------

In a recent meeting with the Dept of Labor, they stated that there will be a bubble of LC approvals being issued shortly for those cases that have responded to the 45 day letter. Our office just received our first labor certificate approval from the Dallas BPC. This case was originally filed on January 2004 (priority date) and we responded to the 45 day letter in February 2005. This was approved on February 28, 2005 but we just received the approval in the mail on June 6, 2005. The good news is that they are approving cases. However, it also seems to show that there is no true FIFO, as we have many cases filed before this date.

We will try to keep you updated with important status information but very little has been issued. Once we do receive any information on your specific case (especially an approval!) we will contact you immediately. Please make sure our office always has your most current contact information (address, phone numbers-especially cell phone numbers and email addresses.)

---------------

I hope everyone gets an approval soon....

I am reporting what my attorney told me and I am not making up things. I believe what my attorney tells me. You can take it or leave it.

please kindly elaborate on such breaking news !!!

GC_DJ,

Please try to push your attorney and try to get more details, considering the number and the broad distribution of the cases being approved. Thanks!

I guess those information are especially important.

1. which state? CA?
2. RIR/ Non-RIR
3. Breakdown of Philly and Dallas
4. State/Regional case?

I guess your attoney is a big lawyer, 70 cases approved... Can you leave his contact information, telephone number? Maybe somebody else share the same attorney and/or can find some way to get more information.

Thanks very much!
