just as an informative thread, my dad ( AS6 ) just got back from "COP" for the second time in 2 years , he was only asked how was the real estate bussiness in California ......POE was Miami.
However, our asylum case was not against the Government .

I guess, since 3 years ago that we ( asyless ) began receiving our GC's , we have never heard from anyone that have had any trouble while entering USA after visiting COP. Therefore, visiting COP as either AS6, 7, 8 is not the issue.

I agree 100% with you, visiting COP as AS6, AS7, or AS8 holder is not the issue.

The problem May or MAY NOT be in the citizenship interview.

I am not afraid to visit COP and enter USA again but afraid of the citizenship interview.

I never been in COP.

I echo what CI Asylee said! reentering the US coming back from COP is not the real issue here.

My only concern is the citizenship interview(i also never visited my COP).

A few residents through asylum have had already their citizenship interview, and nothing has happened to them.. Maybe some people like to find reasons to be affraid all the time. When they get their citizenship, after 100000 years, they still will come up with something to be concerned about traveling to their COP..

Mr. Chinche:

Those few residents you mentioned have been in COP? Thanks.

SISAS, todos son Colombianos o que???

Well, i guess the question of " may i visit COP after getting GC based on asylum ? " should no longer generate any more answers.

Lets just wait to see how we do with Interview for citizenship for all of us, for those who did visit COP and those who did not.
As far as i know, most of my family members are already Citizens, they all gained LPR in various ways, marriage, employment, even thru a Amnisty given in 1982 something like that, they all claimed they were never asked where they travelled during those 3 or 5 years while becoming US Citizens nor if they still employed, married or qualified for the Amnisty by that time.

It is simply, IO's dont care where have you been unless you visit CUBA. They focus on your criminal records, knowledge of English and Histroy of US.

End up the paranoia......

Good luck .
