:(
I am one of the dv winner for 2005 but i have a question

1) i included my adopted children as at the time of filling the form on the Net and now they are not with me ,i have called the KCC to complane and i was told to fill my form and my immediate family with a note why the two children will not come into the programme with me. Can this affect my application since this children were adopted in the chuch orphanage home and it was a lawyer that hand them over to me

The children are not intrested inthe programme
The church orphanage home withdraw them to other parent since Feb and April 2004 even before i got my winners letter from KCC.

2) My unber is very AF00045*** and my feir now is will the visa cut-off not affect me as this is an opportunity i dont want to loss.

3) Can i call KCC to find out if my file as been treated or not ?

4) The preparation in Nigeria for all the document requested is very expensive , should i countinu to spend money for the preparation or just hold it till my month is anounced ?

5) Is any body from Nigeria That is a winner and that has a Number from AF00045*** and what is the last Number in The AF category since Nigeria winner are 67** am actually

Call me on my line 08023425729 or 018145619 :D

I have posted a post entitled "DV Statistics".
From what I worked on, I can tell you (we) have such a high case number that we have about 0% chance to get the Green Card :(
Maybe we will be more lucky next time ;)

Should i forget about the visa?

are you saying i should forget about the visa and that there might be no place for me and my family in the programme ?

one of my friend went to embassy in nigeria and he was told they will surely attend to everybody that are selected

personally i have been there i saw pple that were could not finish up there process even as at the last minut in sept. there case #s are very far just like mine , if some did not attend the interview what do they do with this left over visas, because many have not got there letter from KCC yet and they are suppose to go for interview next mouth , am sayiny this as our mode of mail here are very slow, i got my letter even very late and i was made to understand that the early i send it the better and faster they send my letter of interview. so you mean that there is no jumping of letters even if they come late ( i mean fist to arrive first to be call for interview?)
If the case is like this why raising the hope of pple that they win a chance to come to america :( . and where do you get your statistics from.

i have a lot to do and to plan for but if i have to go into them now i may to be able to raise found for the processing ( incase am called for interview) of the visa :D should i just forget about this thing and countine my  life ? the problem is that many pple already belive that once you are sent a letter you are gone to america  my employer now know i got the first letter and i dont know what can come out of it ( i used my office addy for it)
what do you think

Bobbb i just find out that the # (45143)you said is the total winners from AF is wrong, as i know somebody with a # that is even greater than 45143 you said. where did you get the total #s of winners for AF from? :( and saying that the interview date for 40*** to 45*** will be Aug and Sept. may not be right, since the cut for Jan to July has not been anounced yet .
what about the left over visas from the previous cut-off #
kindly let me know how you got your figures.

lastly do we have to add 9900 and 11300 together.
thanks for the reply Bobbb

tks

Hi Adesoji.

Tks for answering too :) ;)

The cutoff # determine the date of interview.

Personaly, I have not told anyone I got the first letter, cause I m afraid we have a little probability to get the Green Card.

For now: here is the internet site of the US gov were you can sum all AF countries to find the 45143.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants_types_diversity2.html

I can not understand how it is possible to have a greater # than 45143. Is it far above 45143?

I do not pretend having understood everything in the way the DV works. I am just trying to figure out what is the probability we (you and me) get a green Card.

Yes, I said interview for us should be at the end of the process (August or Sept), because that is what the KCC told me. They said as my case # is high, the interview will be late, if any :(

Sorry for my english, I am much better in french

Can you chat trough MSN or yahoo messenger ? Or is possible to talk via Skype ?

Thanks Bobbb for you reply

i know somebody with #455** and i calculate the total # for winner in AF to be what 45143 am some how  about it how did they # it or did they release other # after the winners report

i went to the Local US Embassy and i was told they will attend to us but it might be vry late which mean you arer right for the AUG SEPT interview date for high #s

you can contact me at adesoji37@hotmail.com

i will call KCC for more explanatyion if they will not be offended

i had wanted to find my way to EU before this DV winners letter, so may be i should just go ahead and pursue that. but my dream is to be in USA.

Can any Nigerian DV winner for 2005 contact me?
