Currently EB3; Filed I485; Goal - Move to EB2 category

Do I keep the same PD
   Does it make sense to use an opportunity to move to EB2
   For the current EB3 - PD is 03/98
   Spouse is on EAD
   I have also extended my H1B
   Can we keep the same I485, H1B for me EAD for my spouse as the process for the new EB2 is taking place
   What are the steps and forms for the conversion to EB2
   Will we have to file a new I485 or is an adjustment to the existing one

   Input from experienced folks will be highly appreciated

You can retail your old PD even if you apply in EB2.
But you have to do Labor and I-140 in EB2 again to apply
I-485 in EB2. If you think INS can clear Labor/I-140 with
in time frame, you can go for EB2 with old EB3 PD.
