Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.

Folks,

Does anybody else got the below message, if so what was it about. spouse got the email last thursday and have not yet got the physical letter. I received the email today for myself with the same message.

On December 8, 2007 we mailed the document to the address we have on
file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not,
or if you move before you get it, call customer service.

In fact called the USCIS today but they just read what ever is there in the email and say they dont have inside information.

Can anyone please share your experiences. Greatly appreciate it.

If it's regarding AP you will get it in mail soon. If it's about 485 - it could be bad news.

Not always, 'Document mailed' can be for fingerprinting or interview or even a RFE. However, 'we mailed you a decision' is generally followed by a denial.

Any of which, like voldemarv said, is bad news (except fingerprints, depending on when the appointment is and where you are at the time).
