Since I was denied on 06/02/09 and re applied on same day. I am curious since my file is at local DO, will this delay processing of my new application or my file stays at local DO and service center where I sent application will process and send the new application to my local DO at time of interview.

Thank you all.

USCIS has a process that they follow so your file will go to the lockbox and then your A-file will be located using their internal systems.

My GC Date is 8/13/2004 and my N-400 priority date is on 5/22/2009. Am I ok in terms of application timelines or did I apply too early?

Thanks. I didn't understand clearly but hope my file make it safely at lockbox and don't dealy processing.

You should have asked this before mailing yours. Anyway you are good to go in terms of timelines...

I am sorry. I actually meant to say your new N-400 application, not your A file will go to the lockbox. It is possible that the local office will send your A-file back to the National Benefits Center which is where most of the A files are stored once you have been denied but I don't know if they will do that or how long it will take for them to send it back, if at all.

What was the reason for your denial, if don't mind sharing?

I think you should be ok, that seems to be 83 days, unless you signed or mailed your application before May 15 I think you should be fine. Do you remember what sign date you put on your application, or when did you mail it?

HudsonValley, you're right. The reason of the denial was not applying 85 days early, it was applying before the poster was married for full 3 years to US citizen.
