rk4gc,

Thanks for the info. I'm sure this has been done before, but can someone please post the fax number, and procedure/requirements for a fax enquiry. My RD is now officially more than 30 days past the JIT date.

Thanks.

Truth of the matter is unless you shout and make yourself heard there's no way anyone will hear or care about. It's like the adage "the tree has fallen in the forest and no one has heard". Kashmir launched several campaigns and initiated several others. Likewise several other folks launched campaigns with a good cause in mind - more and more of us will need to get involved and communicate our situation.

USCIS has resorted to statistics for cover up, nothing new there, except jumping the JIT date from July 15 2002 to Jan 15 2003 in 15 days time, tantamounts to stealing in broad daylight under police surveillance. Statistics, statistics and damned lies!! It's now up to us to take up fax, congressman (woman) campaigns.

can I send a fax inquiry even if my case is represented by a lawyer. Or only lawyer has to send the inquiry?

take control of your case and press with your lawyer, if (s)he refuses to do the faxing, go ahead and fax CSC with all the relevant details. of course it goes without saying that keep a copy of any document you send to CSC in any form for future reference and for your own records.

At the most the USCIS will say that we cannot answer you and you have to come to us through a lawyer. So go ahead, take control and get free soon.

Good Luck

I just faxed yesterday even thou i was reluctant to fax.... and today the JIT date moved and i told my lawyer to send an inquiry. she will send it in couple days too...hope there is a outcome of this soon....

Good Luck mygcwaiter100, the outcome would be that you will be coming out with an approval soon (courtesy ofcourse USCIS). It is my wish, prayers and hope to all the gc approval waiters.

Actually, it is just CSC. The other centers are still processing 2002 cases. So, if it was USCIS that had hit upon this idea, then all the centers would have been doing the same.

leee,

i am not going to shop at best buy again at thanksgiving time....

any idea how is it during the x-mas?

LOL, that's just an analogy, BestBuy is private owned business, they don't ever do this kind of BS. If you are there early, you will be guranteed to get in first.

The day before Thanksgiving is the biggest sale of the year. We did that for a couple of years, and decided it's not worth to stand in freezing cold winter for hours.

exactly can we try to make BCIS a privately owened business so we dont have to wait... like having BCIS as a trading symbol on nasdaq...do u think ppl will buy it...

btw read my disclaimer :)

Good news and Bad News.

Good News because those for whom JIT is 30 days are older can start doing FAX inquiries legitimately. Bad News because there are still hundreds of cases pending before the JIT date.

Its just BS to show that they are reducing backlogs.
Hi guys
HAve you guys any suggestion of the FAX inquiries format. I
don't have a lawyer. and please post the FAX Number.
Thanks

Well, if they were trading on Wall Street the ENRON fiasco would be small to what BCIS would publish to get good price for their stocks... :D

Your comment that it is just CSC is probably a good observation, may be Don Neufeld wants to keep his job or is expecting to get a big promotion with a fat raise.

if all of us GC waiters can do something so that the media highlights the workings of USCIS with regard crazy moving of dates like 6 months in 15 days when they could not move an hour in over 8 months it would help. guess people hit hard by CSC should take control, contact media outlets and try and impress upon them to highlight the plight of people like us.

I know a lot of responses would be no point in doing that or it has been done blah blah blah....etc, But you know what, as some one has been suggesting, the more you keep shouting and hitting on their door, at some point in time it is going to work.

The bottom line is patience and perseverance which all of us have shown with your GC process, it is just an extension of the it. Look at it this way, the more the media is able even mention something about us it would help in court cases and will put pressure on Don and his cronies to do something.

It happened earlier with Kashmir and his troops' efforts, Rajiv's lawsuit and it will help again.

I dont know how JIT is defined. So if they touch one application filed in Jan 2003, does that change the JIT date to January? My case got approved yesterday. But a lot of the cases filed close to me have not been touched since Feb 2003 when they first fingerprinted. I dont think JIT of Jan means all the cases before Jan have to be approved.

I have no desire to defend CIS, but at least I probably have an idea why they jumped 6 months. When the CIS awakened from their lethargic 1 1/2 sleep in April they started approvals on three fronts: early 2002, September- November 2002 and more recent 2003 -2004 applications. How they move the JIT date is a mistery for me, but it is clear that the first wave (in their eys) merged with the second (i.e. they would have jumped JIT to August- September 2002 but this was already in the second wave).

This theory does not make the situation look any better for us, 2002 filers, of course...

whatever crappy methodology USCIS is using, it is absolutely not helping anyone except the people who got the random approvals.

Infact had USCIS gone sequentially properly, it would have alleiviated the pains of lot of old waiting folks (I AM NOT TAKING AWAY ANYTHING FROM RECENT FILERS WHO WERE APPROVED). Atleast some order would have prevailed and people would have been sure that indeed there is a pattern and hence could guess on an approximate approval period except of genuine problematic cases.

Instead here we are in a scenario where even people who filed in May 2004 are approved but people from 00, 01, 02, 03 are waiting frustratingly patiently twiddling their thumbs hoping every moment that they would get their approval email anytime.

Guess all the waiters should bombard the USCIS fax center with tons of faxes to the level of choking them and do all they can to highlight their plight to see some movement.

Bottom Line: Take your case into your hands and act to the best you can and do what is all in your control.

Good Luck, Prayers and Best of Luck to everyone for a quick approval
