Guys,
Just checked murthy for JIT dates it is updated today and shows JAN 2003.
Not sure if this is a mistake or ???

cannot believe ... can somebody double confirm ..

csc is full of slackers !!!

xyz_visa

Just cant believe this..Lot of cases from May-Dec 2002 are still pending and CSC has moved jit to 01/15/03.. I think CSC is trying to show that they are moving ahead of time with backlog reduction but actually they are doing nothing..

one more way of showing that they are on their way to achieve the backlog reduction goals presented by Ombudsman in the senate hearings..
this is all B.S.

This is great because now we can fax enquiries at will

Most of the time the lawyers/IIO give this excuse - your ND hasn't passed the JIT date.

Now looks like a JIT date of Jan 2003 opens up enquiry gates for a whole bunch of people.

Lets start faxing and finding out.

Cheers !!!

I'm shocked * shocked at CIS strategy.
There are 02/02 guys still waiting!!!!

Officer, what's with my case?
Wait until JIT passed you by 30 days.
But ... it has passed me by ... 345 days...
Sorry, you have to wait until JIT passed you by 30 days before inquiry. Have I answered all your questions?

Great Job CIS !!!!

With the speed CIS is moving, I guess 485 approval date might be same as JIT date or may be even beyond JIT

this might be the only way how CIS won their law suit. ( what backlog? we are processing case with ## date as you asked for. oh those 2002 and some 2001 cases, security check or whatever excuses)

I start to wonder all these fights with CIS, did we really win? apparently not. It benefits few people that filed much later, but for more people, besides the same old slow pace waiting, now it also adds more anxiety towards this random, unfairness process.

well now it is upto the waiting guys whose ND has passed due to 5-6 months jump in the processing date to just jam the 800 line and bug the heck out of the customer reps there. ofcourse, you all have to endure the waiting time on phone before you could talk to someone, but the more people bug them with phone calls and faxes citing the move in the processing date, it might help no guarantee.

Also, this jump would also help you guys to set the backside of all your lawyers on fire big time, like some one said now they cannot hide behind the excuse that wait until your ND has become past.

Good Luck to all your Guys and Hopefully all the waiting 99,00,01,02,03 people will get approvals very soon, My prayers will always be there for you all.

Cheers

I understand everybodys frustration but at the same time I never have read an official document that says that JIT means that ALL cases before that date have been "approved" or even processed. It only says that now they are processing cases with that date.
From what I've seen in the past few months they move the JIT when at least 20% of the cases in that month have been either approved, transferred, have an RFE, withdrawn or other.
It seems now like backlog cases (02 and 03) are being treated the same which means you almost have the same chance to be processed no matter which month you are on. This is probably unfair for early 02 cases but it is certainly better than when we didnt have any chance of being processed at all like last year.

My guess is that even more cases wil be transferred to local offices to achieve this date. This is a huge jump, too huge to be realistic.

Tried to call

Hello -

I tried to call the CSC enquiry line on 949-389-3007 (Someone else had said they were able to get some sort of a response from them). However, they said this is now strictly an emergency line, and to call the national customer center 1-800-375-5283 for all questions pertaining to status of cases.

Can someone please post the CSC fax number again?

It is unbelievable that they would move the 'processing now' dates to Jan 2003, when thousands of us are waiting!

First FP 12/19/02
No notice for second FP - is everyone else who has not had a second FP calling them for it?

Good news and Bad News.

Good News because those for whom JIT is 30 days are older can start doing FAX inquiries legitimately. Bad News because there are still hundreds of cases pending before the JIT date.

Its just BS to show that they are reducing backlogs.

Faxing CSC

rk4gc,

Thanks for the info. I'm sure this has been done before, but can someone please post the fax number, and procedure/requirements for a fax enquiry. My RD is now officially more than 30 days past the JIT date.

Thanks.

what you said is not wrong. But..

it's like pre-thanksgiving sale in Best Buy, some people get up at 4am to stand in line, they would think they should be the first to get in store because they were all given a number (wacxx) in sequence. By 7am, the line is getting super long. The door opens, the line starts moving, one batch of people at a time, even in a very slow pace. There are lots complaints from different directions. Then the store manager made a decision to reduce the 'backlog', make the single line into multiple groups, but not based on who came in first. So there is a hope in every group that you could be the next being called. By 9am, about at least 20% of lucky ones in each group have got what they want.

Now honestly, can you expect the ones in the 4am group feel the same way as those in 6 or 7 or 8 am groups? If you happened to be one of them in the front line, watching people from different groups being called, can you still say the same?

What the store manager did is very smart, it did not solve the 'backlog', the amount of people working in store are still the same, only the customers came in different time. So you can't say it takes 4 hours, it 'COULD' be in 1 hour. The statistics looks better, the report seems great...

Frankly I would applause this if I am in 8am group... we are only human.

No offense to late filers, this is the wrong doings of CSC, we are all victims, in a way...

Well then why not do something about it? Kashmir has been shouting himself hoarse over this and not very many people supported him then, because they either dint care or dint feel those campaigns would pay off, but now it looks as if that is the only way.

Each and every one of the 01,02 applicants SHOULD take it up with their representative. That is the only way to put pressure on INS. If you don't then you have to suffer.

Time to wake up people!

leee,

i am not going to shop at best buy again at thanksgiving time....

any idea how is it during the x-mas?
