Hi PurpleHazea,
The purpose of this tracker is not just track/watch the name-check trends, but any such other reasons the 485 is pending on. Incidently, everyone who posted so far are stuck in name-check.

By the way, what can be the next step(s)? If you have any ideas then please share with us.

I am under the impression that we can not do anything but wait for the name-check to be cleared. My friend's attorney has strongly advised NOT to interfere the name-check process with actions like email/phone enquiries, seeking Senator/Congressman's invervention, as it could hamper the outcome of the case. I am not sure how far it is true though.

Hi there,

I think that some of us have been very gung-ho about trying to pro-actively attempt to clear the name check. For instance I have heard Josamdee and a number of others here planning to contact congressmen/women or senator offices. I think that a good next step is to find out if anyone has converted their intentions into actions and whether or what their experience has been. This will help others who are interested in contacting the higher authorities in due course. As far as my opinion on whether it is the right thing to do and whether there might be negative implications, I think the experience of others who have attempted to take the initiative on long pending applications and the results of these efforts will show us the way ahead. In my discussion with one person who works for FBI, I was told that one year wait for name check is not unusual and that one must wait long enough before taking such initiatives. However the person also told me that there would not be any likely negative implications. Further you would have to substantiate why you need expedition i.e. financial loss or other detriment.

Please post your views. Also I would like to hear from people who have taken action on their decision to contact local congress men/women/senators.

LUD change on July 6, 2005 on all the cases.

Hi all,

I just checked the case status and found that there is a LUD change on all 485 cases for myself & family and my already approved I-140 case and also on all already approved AP and EAD cases on 07/06/2005. However there was NO message change for any of them.

Changing the LUD on already approved I-140/EAD/AP cases doesn't make much sense to me. Any Inputs? is there anyone with the same kind of updates?

Get_gc04,

I got a LUD on my I-140 on a date almost three months after I-140 was approved. No message change and no LUD on other (outstanding) applications. It was about 10 days after FP.

i think they updated all the eb3 cases at the beginning of this month.

Guys,

This is really strange. I got the LUD change AGAIN on all my approved cases of 140/EAD/AP and also on pending I-485 cases. The previous LUD change was 07/06/2005 and again on 07/08/2005 on all the cases. Anyone on the same boat? It worries me so much.
