gcfordesi04,

I'm very happy for you, too for your passport stamp. I have a friend of mine who got her physical GC two weeks after the stamping.

Did you have any LUDs before your and your wife's 485 approval?

Enjoy your freedom!

Hi Greenpath5,
What are the documents you sent for ability to pay. They have asked me to send IRS certified copies which could take upto 60 days. I am thinking of sending TAX transcripts. Is it ok to send that?

RFE is about ability to pay. I have no idea about the documents. Company got my pay stub copies and W2 forms from the labour PD. Company and Lawyer worked on that.

Do you know the Emergency Number at the CSC? Why is my case taking so long before they can have the decision? What is your RFE about? Did your lawyers made some inquiries at the CSC?

Dale

I have no idea about the emergency number. Rfe is about ability to pay. No inquiries made at the CSC. Lawyer responded for RFE. Hang on, your approvals may be on the way.

The emergency number at CSC is 949-389-3007. You can call to check your case status. Sometimes they are very helpful and give you detail information but sometimes they are not. Give it a shot!

I got 140 RFE on 4/23/05 and replied on 5/31/05 (USCIS received date). Today I received email says my 140 was approved on 6/14/2005.

Now waiting for 485..

Did you try to call the CSC emergency number? I think you can ask your lawyer to initiate inquiry 60 days after they received your RFE.

Hang on there!

CSC Operator says my case "APPROVED"

Hello All:

Out of desperation for waiting patiently for 46 days...I bought LOTS of prepaid credits got my mobile fone and called the CSC Emergency Number...The operator says my case has been "APPROVED" last JUNE 10, 2005... that would be 25 days after they confirmed that they had received my RFE.

I ask her to double check it with the receipt number, the category (I-140, EB3, Sched. A nurse), the name of the petioner and the name of the applicant...All data are correct and it is approved! :)

Although there is not change in my online message status, no change in LUD, no e-mails, no snail mail yet...but i don't care as long as it is APPROVED!

Hey dale,
Can you give the emergency number to call for CSC?

JOLLY FELLOW,

CSC EMERGENCY NUMBER ----> 949-389-3007

The computer system of USCIS sucks...Too slow in updating cases...

Is there a thread for "I-140 APPROVAL TO NVC TRACKER???

Received The Approval Notice!!!

Hello All,

I finally received the Notice of Action stating that my case has been approved. There was no update on the online message, no LUD's no e-mails. Just a confirmation by snail mail from the lawyer and I confirmed it at the California Service Center by calling them...

Thanks to everyone on this forum!!!

Gurus please help

I finally heard my labor was "certified" on 29th from SF DOL regional center

Case No: 95604**
PD: 14th May 2002
RD: 24th April 2003

I am in a dilemma now.

As per RIR advertisement the requirement is BS+3 yr. I had BS+3 yrs before I joined the company and completed an MS degree after joining the company and before they applied for Labor.
When I talked with my lawyer lately, he mentioned he is going to apply for the next stages in EB2 category as I have already completed my MS. I was thinking earlier that I would go with EB3 into the next stage as the ad does not meet the EB2 requirement as my PD was before the retrogressed date.
Now that EB3 is not available for the rest of the year and future retrogression dates are not predictable I am planning to take the risk and go ahead with the EB2 category and file 140/485 concurrently.

My question is... what is the worst case scenario?

According to what I have already read and understood - I might get a RFE to convert my 140/485 from EB2 to EB3. Do you think this is true?

What are the chances that my I-140 will be rejected and hence my I-485?

Thanks for any help.

-Regards

Replied to I-140 RFE(employer reference letter) on 06/08/2005 (reply received by USCIS). My I-485 stuck due to FBI name check. Asked CIS when the name check was initiated. They said they did not have this information on their computer.
I'm Ukrainian but was born in Egypt (what an irony ;) ) thus I'm a subject to USCIS "special registration". I guess that's where my problems start.
