Hello,

I heard from my lawfirm that CSC is currently processing I-485 cases as of 01/09/02.

That may even be reflected in the new JIT which comes out today/tomorrow.

Is that true?

Kuti.

Guys, how cruel can this get

I have a receipt date of Jan 10th, plsssssssssss someone take me out for a drink to drown my sorrows

:D

PCeefan,

From my experience, INS usually processes dates all around the JIT. The main purpose of the JIT is to give a hard date out there, if your case is prior the JIT and you haven't been approved then you can fax your inquires to them.

So instead of someone buying you a drink, collect money to buy everyone a drink when you get your approval SOON! :)

140_takes_4ever ,
My filing date is Dec 10, 2001, I have called UCIS yesterday. The customer service person told me that they should be woking on my case "right now".
Also, they cannot submit an inquiry because 31 days from my file date puts the date at Jan 11

hussein,

The 30 day rule has nothing to do with Jan 11th, what the 30 day rule signifies is that if your RD is current as per latest JIT then 30 days after JIT is released you can submit an inquiry.

So if the JIT moves to Jan 9th, and your RD was Jan 8th but 30 days after the JIT was not released you still don't have your adjudication then you can ask for an inquiry, you don't have to wait till the JIT moves to Feb 9th, before triggering the inquiry.

Hard luck that you still don't have your approval, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will yet see your name in the March Approval list! :)

Good luck!

JIT means nothing .. 10th has the same probability of getting approved as 9th for all practical purposes.

True. There are so people who filed before 12/16/2001 and still waiting for RFE/interview/approvals. I believe this date shift is just a showing off an impression that I485s are moving. But I won't be impressed until I see a significant numbers of approvals.

still waiting

november/08/2001 2rfe-2fp since 5/28/2003 case transfer to LA office since 5/30/2003 &still no news

This is what my attorney had to say:

"The JIT report indicates the oldest case that is off the shelf and with an officer; we cannot inquire until 30 days beyond the JIT date."

The meaning of a JIT report strongly depends on Number of officers, speed of the officer, backlog with an officer. Considering the efficieny of INS, the effectiveness of JIT report gets lost considerably.

Also, Folks with ND Nov/Dec 2001 and still have not had their cases adjudicated should contact their senators. I have seen quite a few cases pulled up and adjudicated this way.
