Finally I received my I-485 approval notice in mail today.
Here are the details:
PD 09/99 (EB-2 RIR)
I-485 RD October 2, 2000
I-485 ND October 24, 2000 (WAC 01-015-xxxxx)
FP Done in February 2001
I-485 Approval date: August 27, 2001
AVM Still not updated.
I would like to thank Ciba and all others who gave me hope and encouragement
during this long I-485 wait. To all those still waiting for their I-485 approval, do not
lose hope. Your day will come !!!!
Ciba, Please update my entry in the list you are maintaining. I am listed as Sriram Aravas.

congrats !! I have one question for you

Hi Sriram,

i know you had to wait for a long time to get this approval.Can you tell what are ways you adopted to followup on your case .Did any thing in particular help like sending faxes , calling IIO etc.

please let us know of your thoughts.

Called IIO a few times and lawyer sent a FAX inquiry

Hi Sajan
I called the IIO a few times but got no useful information.
My lawyer sent a FAX inquiry about 4-5 weeks back. Probably that
could have helped.
