Concurrent filing: 06/02/03
140 AD: 06/10/04
1st FP ND: 07/29/04, appt: 09/14/04
Early FP done: 08/28/04

485 AD: 09/17/04

Thanks to all the immigrationportal.com users who posted valuable information over the years. Details of my approval (after several long years of the Labor/140/485 process) are given below:

I485 ND/RD Oct 2002
First FP: Dec 2002
Second FP: August 14, 2004 (did not go for advance fingerprinting)
I485 Approved: Sep 1, 2004
Approval letter received in the mail: Sep 3, 2004
Passport stamping: Sep 10, 2004

Passport stamping was straightforward. Took infopass appt at SF, whole thing got done in 30 minutes. I took passport, 2 pp photos, appt. letter, original I485 approval notice, old EAD/AP. Write name and A# on back of the photos. They retain the I-94, photos, I485 approval and old EAD/AP and take your index fingerprint. You can take a cell phone in but not one that can take pictures. The stamp on the passport is valid for one year from that day.

A quick question... How did you send FAX inquiry to CSC? What is the number? I have called 1-800 number and was told that they would send in email inquiry. But it certianly would be nice to fax CSC as well.

We did FP on April 17th at Oakland and they received(FP received message changed) on April 19th.

EB1-OR, semi-concurrent, company (<20 employees) sponsored
Started the whole process at the beginning of 2002
Prepared all documents myself, lawyer drafted the cover letter
I-140 approved on Jan 15, 2003, no RFE
I-485 applied on Jan 15, 2003
I-485 RFE for me only for legal status, EVL, 2 years W2s, 3 paystubs
both my wife and I were approved on 9/27/2004, exact 2 weeks after RFE was received by CSC.

Approval date 28...letter mailed Sept 28.

After over 29 months of waiting, the I-485 has finally been approved!

I don't remember the dates for LC and I-140, but the process was started around Oct/Nov of 2000. The labor was quickly approved, and so was the I-140. Here is the summarized history of the I-485:

Filed I-485 on 4/19/2002 at CSC
RD 4/22/2002, ND 4/23/2002
First FP done on 11/1/2002
Second FP done on 7/10/2004
RFE for birth certificate on 8/3/2004
RFE response received by USCIS on 9/2/2004
I-485 Approved on 9/30/2004

Based on the other threads, it should be about 2 weeks from approval to get the approval notices in the mail.

I have followed this forum very regularly for the last 18 months or so. Thanks to all for creating, promoting, and using this great information-sharing mechanism.

Just received an email from lawyer office that my I485 along with my husband were approved.

LC approved Feb 2003
I140 filed and approved may 2003
I485 RD Jun 2003
1st PF Aug 31st 2004
I485 AD Sep 23rd 2004 (just received the original approval letter)

Got approval letter after 10 days.
Does anyone know if infopass appointment is needed or can directly walk in for stamping? I'm in phoenix.

What does you online status message says for I-485? and what is the LUD for I-485.

My I140 was approved a week back and I-485 message LUD changed 3 times but status is same "Your fingerprint..."
