If you see any CSC I-485 approval any where on this board please post it to this thread with all the info (if it is not already posted to this thread). Please follow below guidelines while posting.
1. In the subject line, give it running serial number, member name (that got approved), and the subject line.
2. Entire text of their approval message (cut and paste including headers)
3. Please also provide a Link to that aproval thead/post (it helps a lot in maintaining summary as well as users can goto that thread to ask questions).

As per online status, I485 for me and my wife got approved on March 3. Here is our case details -

2nd FP - Nov 2003
Rfe Issued - Jan 29, 2004
Rfe response received - Feb 26, 2004
Case approved - Mar 3, 2004

It was a Very long wait and now we got it.

Hopefully the details of the interview will help.

Before we took seat the IIO asked us to take an Oath that we will say the truth and nothing but the truth.

Then it started:

IIO opened the file and asked for Employee letter, pay stubs and 2 yrs W2's and Tax returns.

Asked for proof that company could pay, my lawyer had Q10 form some SEC filing by my company.

Birth & marriage certificate.
Not happy with marriage certificate since she thought it was temepered with (not true ofcourse) , really we started to worry but she accepted other proofs that we were married (like our son and his birth certificate, our joint tax returns )

asked me what I was doing before i came to US and experience letters from those companies.

degree certificate was asked

No Re-Medical exam required. If u done it once its done.

I dont think i m missing any other important question by the IIO , If i remember i will put it down here.

Thats it , got the stamp on the passport.

I definitely want to share my joy in telling you fellows
that my I485 is finally approved yesterday. The wait
for greencard and passage of time made me a Senior Member
of this board, though I never wanted to become a Senior
It took me almost 3+ years for the whole process. I
thought not to care too much about I485 and I didn't initially,
but certainly I do when St. Lious tells me that I need to go
back to home country for renewal H1 stamping and consulate
in Pakistan may take 4 months for VISA processing, because I
belong to one of those 21 countries that attracts the VISA
officer. The wait time for I485 seemed even longer when I
had to pass through 8 round
of layoff chopping 70% of workforce throughout the company.
(I work for one of those major Telco which made records
in layoff in last 2 yrs). Finally it ends !!! What a relief !


Here are my details:

RD: Dec 04, 2001
ND: Dec 05, 2001
AP1, AP2 , EAD 1, EAD 2 , EAD 3 approved , AP3 - pending for 8 months
FP1 : April 14, 2001
FP1 expired , sent 2 faxes no response.

Case transferred to San Jose Local office
for in person interview Nov 2003
Reason: Unknown

Interview scheduled: Feb 25

Attorney called supervisor after one week of interview and
requested to approved ASAP as officer took my I94 and EAD
after interview.

Attorney took my Paspsort and she went to BCIS and got my I551 stamped today. In the meantime, I also got my letter from BCIS San Jose that my application for Adjudicate to permanent resident has been accepted.

Its time for me to take a vacation , a long one

There is one more thing here though. I collected my passport
from Attorney and I noticed that last letter in my name is
spelled 'N' instead of 'M'. My name and A# is written by hand.
Attorney said , it doesn't matter much because officer at POE
will check the A#. I am planning to make a visit to local office
to correct the last letter. Any though ?

I filed 3 W-2 form( 2 for 2001, 1 for 2002 ), and EVL for the RFE.

I have got so many helpful informations from this forum, I do want to say "Thank you for you all", without this forum, I wouldn't make it.

Hi Guys

It's my time to celebrate. Mine and my wife's I-485 approved on March 15th 2004. Online message and Voice Response Unit, both are saying that this case has been approved etc.

First FP done: Jan 31 2002.
Second FP done: October 28th 2003.

RFE issued on april 20th. RFE replied on 26th feb.

Online message updated about RFE documents received on march 4th. Approved on March 15th. Waiting for approval notices my postal mail.

RFE: For me they asked last 3 years w2s and last six paystubs and Employment verification letter and g-325, proof of address, passport copies,utility bills and recent driving license which is showing current address.

For my wife they asked marriage certificate, proof of marriage like our baby birth certificate or aprtment lease papers showing both of our names or joint bank acount statements, joint tax filings, passport copies, driving license.

Receipt Date - December 21,2001
First FP some time in Jan 2002
Second FP some time in Jan 2004
RFE Sent - Feb 26th 2004
RFE Received - March 10th,2004
GC Approved - March 12th,2004
Received by the lawyer and me today 17th May 2004.

Will go for stamping sometime this or next week.

This is a AC21 case (changed jobs in October 2002 and sent new job details and new attorney info in October 2002 but still got the RFE sent to the old attorney who then informed me and faxed a copy of the RFE, and I responded thru the new attorney )
