CSC I-485 **Approvals** in August 2004.

Hi folks:
I just got an email from the USCIS stating that my case was approved yesterday. I got my second fingerprinting notice on Aug. 6 and I completed my fingerprinting the same day even though it was scheduled for Sept. 22. I had sent a fax to the USCIS requesting a second fingerprinting notice about three weeks before I actually got the notice. I dont know if that really helped.

So here are my details:

EB-1 OR
I-140 filed in May 2002. Approved in October 2002
I-485 RD: Dec 19, 2002, ND: Dec 23, 2002
First FP: Feb. 6, 2003
Second FP: Aug. 6, 2004 (done early at San Jose ACS, was scheduled for Sept. 22)
LUD changed on Aug. 13 stating that the results of the FP review have been recieved.
LUD changed again today Aug. 19 stating that my case was approved on Aug. 18.

Good luck to everyone else waiting for their approval. Please let me know if I can answer any questions based on my I-140/I-485 experience.

Approval Notice received by lawyer, no change in case status, no emails received

Learnt about approval from Lawyer's email. Could not believe it.

So I called the 800 number and spoke with a stupid operator who could not tell me if I am approved, could not tell me if online status updates are scheduled for some weekend job and could not tell me who within USCIS can confirm if they emailed me an approval notice. All she told me was that if your lawyer says you got approval then you are approved.

Eventually my lawyer just faxed me copies. Only mine is approved my wife's petition (derivative) is still pending.

My experience is that an LUD after FP when the message doesn't change is a good thing. My LUD changed on 8/17 after FP and that is my Notice date on approval document.

I wish all the folks on this board luck and thank all of you and Rajeev Khanna who made this wait a lot more bearable.

Does any one know how to do a fax entry. Any fax number plus document template will be helpful. I completed 2nd FP and still waiting for the approval. Any one please help, everything will be appreciated.

Approved after RFE : WAC 02 169 5 XXXX : Aug 18th

At last got my approval dated Aug 18th. Mine was a substitute Labor case pending since April 2002. I never worked for the sponsoring company until I responded to the RFE ( with just one pay stub from the spons employee) . I changed after I got the RFE and produced just one pay stub.

The online status still shows... "Received your response for the RFE......"

But I received my approval notice (and my wife's) via mail on Saturday Aug 21.

I responded to RFE with two years w2, three months paystub, request to abandon my OLD Gc filing, sponsoring companies financials for three years.. etc

Here are my details:

I 140 approved in March 2002

I 485 filed in April 2002

FP done in April 2002

Second FP done in April 2004

First EAD received in AUG 2002
First AP received in OCT 2002

Third EAD received in Aug 2004 ( they gave me for six months . since my EAD renewal was more than 90 days old and my EAD application is still pending)

What are the documents and paper work required for stamping?

While I was out of country I got approved -> WAC-03-019 and my spouse too -> WAC-04-032

Freedom......... yeah!

Finally after waiting for 4 long years and specially after filing I-485 two years back and completing 2 FP a month back, I got the good news today. God has shown mercy on me and my case has been approved.

I just got a mail saying that my case and been approved. I will be waiting to get a courtesy copy.

Our cases (3) approved per online status on 08/31/04.
RFE sent on 05/12 - paystubs, w2s, taxes plus bio for kid who turned 14.
RFE received on 07/12 - my lawyer was as slow as usual.
2d fp on 08/05 scheduled for 09/11, did early on 08/12 in Van Nuys no problem.
