I am very happy, and would like to thank every one on this forum for the support, information and camaraderie.

I won't be able to go for passport stamping immediately. My son's passport was expiring and I have applied for a new passport for him and as soon as I get his passport I will go for stamping. I will post my experience of stamping in SFO once I am done. I hope there is no time limit on passport stamping after approval.

My wife just picked up the mail, and guess what? One of the envelopes was the approval notice for me. Online status unchanged (still shows FP results received).

Thank God, this difficult journey is over!

We didn't receive yet the notice for my wife.

I received the approval e-mails today evening for myself and my wife's cases.
Approved on Aug 12, 2004. This wonderful site has helped me a lot during this long and torturous journey.
I did my 2nd FP on July 10 at San Diego. It was scheduled for Jul 15, 2004. INS received it on Jul 13.

First, Thank you for support / info during last couple of years.
Second, I feel sorry for the guys who have applied before me and never got approval (If there is fair system out there, I don’t mind waiting until all of you are approved)
Third, I hate to see the messages when WAC-03 or 04s posting the approvals stating that their long wait is over. As much as I see their relief, that’s rubbing salt into WAC-01 and 02.

Hats off to Rajeev for this wonderful site and service. If I ever need an immigration attorney, I know who represents me the best.

Planning to go for stamping in couple of days.

1. Can anyone post their stamping experience in SFO.

2. My spouse 485 is not yet approved. It was filed only 4 months ago. What will be her status now? (i.e now that my GC is approved, I lose my H1 status and this implies my spouse would lose H4 status?)

3. I've been thinking about switching employers for a while now. Now that my GC is approved, can I switch immediately?

Finally after a long wait, the online status has changed today to reflect that my I485 case has been approved. Now, I am waiting for the approval letter by postal mail.

Though I didn't make any posts, but I have spent a lot of time reading posts others have made (just preparing myself for the unexpected situation). There are a lot of enthusiastic and very helpful people on this message board I would like to thank for doing such a fantastic job of creating this community and of course to Rajiv Khanna for his concept and his efforts for building this forum.
