Since the CSC I-485 Approvals in August 2002 is archived and people need to go around archives, I added new thread easy to Track.

Please add any new CSC I-485 approvals to this thread. Post only approvals to this thread so that it can be used (kind of data/summary tracking) to see recent approvals.

If you see any CSC I-485 approval any where on this board please post it to this thread with all the info (if it is not already posted to this thread). Please follow below guidelines while posting.
1. In the subject line, give it running serial number, member name (that got approved), and the subject line.
2. Entire text of their approval message (cut and paste including headers)
3. Please also provide a Link to that aproval thead/post.

Also refrain from any other discussion (apart from CSC I-485 approvals)in this thread so that we can keep it lean.

Hi all

I485 for myself and my wife's approved on Aug 19, 2002.

Last night(Aug 19) I checked the AVM.
It was playing like this

"Amended Notice for this case was mailed on Aug 19th, 2002.
If 14 days passed ......."

I was planning to talk to IIO today morning ( Aug 20, 2002 )
I started calling about 7:05AM. After some retry I got connected.
Then I thought of Cheching the status before talking to IIO.
WOW the AVM says

"This case has been approved on Aug 19, 2002. We mailed you
....."

Here is the case details

MD : 11/27/2001
RD : 11/28/2001
ND : 11/29/2001
WAC-02-053-5XXXX
FP done : 04/17/2002
FP Schd : 05/17/2002
Process Resumed on 04/23/2002. ( AVM updated in May/June )

Changed my residence in Apr, 2002. I mailed AR-11 form to CSC and washington address. In May, 2002 I filed EAD & AP with new
address. I called in June/July and conformed the new address.
Got AP approved in June. I dont know if the address got updated
because of AR-11 or because of EAD/AP applications.


Approved on. Aug 19, 2002

Checked AVM on Aug 19th night.
It played " Amended Notice for this case was mailed on Aug 19th, 2002. If 14 days passed...."

Aug 20, 2002 morning. AVM says "This case has been approved."

I'd checked AVM 3-4 times. It always said "process resumed" (till today)

FP: 2/2/2002 ahead of scheduled 3/14/2002
RFE: 5/2/2002, w2, tax return, paystub, medical for both.
RFE respond: 5/30/2002
RFE received: 6/5/2002
Approved: 8/21/2002

Hope to get it in the mail really soon.

Lately, I've been calling several times a day. Talked to IIO twice, once early July, IIO told me case assigned last week of June. Second time 8/13, IIO told me case assigned 8/10.

So glad the ordeal is over. I'm overjoyed, almost cried. Lately I got increasingly depressed. Thanks for this board for the support to keep me sane.

I was silent visitor to this board. I got a mail from lawyer informing me of me and my Wife’s approval. I never called IIO
and just checked AVM a few times this month. Wish you all a speedy approval especially Pcee. I thank you all for maintaining such a wonderful site.

ND : 11/23/01
FP : 05/07/02 @ San Jose (as scheduled)
Process resumed on 05/22/02 per AVM
NO RFE for 485 , thanks God.
AD : 08/22/02

NO EAD/NO AP applied / NO talk to IIO

thanks for all of you. this site was really helpfull , especially I realized somebody outthere are in same situation with me.
I know waiting for unpredictable thing is very painful, but don't worry for anything you can't control.

02-50 Approved, Read To Learn Experience
Here is my story, hope this helps many of you folks to make decisions :

Labour - applied 12/01/2000, approved 12/18/2000
I-140 applied 03/01/2001, approved 06/13/01

After 140 I thought CP is the best way to get green card, hence corresponded with Consulate to take up my case, they agreed then I sent AC-I-140 ( Attorney Certified), I had to do this since I had not opted for Consular Processing while filing I-140.

I kept calling Chennai consulate but no response finally in Nov 2001 after loosing 5 months I thought I will adjust status here in the USA. Meanwhile I had already filed I-824 ( Change of intent from status adjustment in the US to adjust status at a overseas consulate) This was approved on Nov 2001. Inspite of this approval we went ahead and filed 485. I had asked my attorney to send a fax stating the change of intent, I am not sure if he did it ??

Finally applied I-485 on 11/19/01
Notice Date : 11/26/02
FP = 04/09/02

RFE = 08/08/01 ( EL, 6 months Pay stubbs, W2)
AVM Changed to RFE Received = 08/19/02

Category - EB2

APPROVED = 08/23/02

If I had filed 485 in June I would get the green card by Dec 01 which is 12 months from the date of filing labour.

Due to my mistake it took 16 Months from Start to Finish.

Folks,
My 485 application was approved Friday August 23rd. I had checked my AVM around 4pm on Friday and it still had the same old "Processing resumed on April 26th..." message. I checked it again this morning just for the heck of it and the status had changed to "Approved on August 23rd..".

My details :

RD - 11/02/01
ND - 11/20/01
FP (scheduled and done ) : April 8, 02 (Portland, OR).
EAD - did not apply.

Though I didn't post very many messages, I visited this site many times a day over the past few months, to follow approvals. I think this is an invaluable site.
I hope you all get your approvals soon. I will keep visiting regularly to check on approvals of others here.

PCEE: just had my AOS approved!
So just look at it this way- I had my priority date a long before yours.. and mailing date a month before yours.. and I just got my approval last week! So hopefully you're right after me- if not already approved and receiving it in mail!
Amazingly enough there was no change in stress even after getting my approval after 4.5 years of processing hell. Anyway, I'm sure you won't have to wait as long as I did! :)

I was waiting for my approval after you got approved 'coz our both the cases are having almost simliar dates for each and everything.Even for EAD also got approved on MAR 27th and didn't get it for long time.

Finally ! We heard the AVM say that "this case has been approved on 8/14. We got our I-485 approval on 8/17.

Went to the San Jose service center on 8/19 at 7:20 AM. They let us in thru the appointment line. The process was very smooth. Make sure you take your EAD card, parole papers (both of them), Passport, I-94 and of course the approval. If both spouse and you are on H-1, make sure you take the H-1 as they verify it and tear off the I-94 on it at the bottom.

Here are our key dates:
I-485 filed: 10/31/2001
Receipt date: 11/20/2001
Temporary EAD: 03/2002
Permanent EAD: 03/2002
FP notice: end of 03/2002
Fingerprinted: 05/04/2002
I-485 Approval: 08/14/2002

We are told that the cards will take 6 months to 1 year.
