Fyi, I faxed an enquiry on 8/19/04 after the JIT moved 6 months (and officially past my date), and followed up with a phone call to the National Customer Service on their 800 number on 8/24/04. I got a second FP notice promptly afterward on 9/10/04 (went in and did it the very next day).
I did not get an official response to my enquiries until a letter arrived on 10/8/04 referencing my enquiry on 8/25/04 (didnt say if it was the phone or fax enquiry), and saying that my case had been sent to the San Jose office (this I new from the online status change on 9/24/04 already).
Others have reported that an enquiry has triggered activity on their case, and I don't know if mine triggered the second FP notice - sure could've been.
