I am creating a new thread to track CSC cases that are pending on namecheck issues and the PD is current


My case

PD: April '02
485 RD: April 2005
Status: Namecheck penidng as per email from CSC.
 
PD-Oct 2001
I-485 RD : April 2004 ( - Lots of LUDs on 04/14,04/16,04/19,04/21,04/22 - Still many more in last 2 years. I do not get excited any more with LUDs !!! )
Status : Name Check pending. on 3rd EAD.

I am exploring the possibility of filing a writ of mandamus class action lawsuit. I have been waiting for this namecheck shit to clear since the last 13 months and in the meanhwile my PD went from being current to retrogression and now back to current since April this year.Does anyone know if 13 months is too short a wait to consider a lawsuit?.I have exhausted all avenues to find out the status of the FBI name check. I am considering filing it some time during sept/oct this year. I would rather have a decision (either way) than wait for years wating for this namecheck shit to clear by itself. I am not too hopeful of this namecheck clearing by itself anytime soon.

Also does anyone know a good and reasonable immigration lawyer in the San Francisco Bay area who has dealt with the USICIS class action lawsuits successfully before??.

See my signature for the details!!. Have contacted the congressman and senator who have initiated inquiries but FBI has not replied. It is over 7 weeks after their inquiries and don't know what else to do. It is extremely frustrating!!!! :D :D

Contacting them doesnt help much.They will tell you the exact same thing that your namecheck is pending and that you just have to wait.
 
Hmm.. Has someone tried other alternatives like sending e-mail or fax to FBI number and ever got any useful response back?

Hi folks,

How does one know that he/she is stuck in namecheck? My 140 got approved recently, and haven't seen any LUD change in my 485 since it was filed, except for the transfer to TSC....

Please visit this thread. We have begun efforts to get organized about this FBI name check issue and create a petition with signatures to send to FBI, USCIS, Senators, President, etc.

Please put your name if you are affected and pledge support. Your help is NECESSARY. Without it we cant show that a lot of people are trapped in the name check black hole.
