My boyfriend is from Sweden. We have known each other about 4 years, but became serious in December of 2004. We fell in love. In June 2005 he finally came to the USA, we got to meet face to face, and fell deeper in love. But, he had come on a Visa Waiver program, so after 90 days he had to go back. The plan was, he was going to apply for an actual visa which would allow him to be here longer and possibly work. Marriage was in plans as well.
After about a month and a lot of money, he recieved a letter stating his visa was denied due to "multiple crimes of moral turptitude". He had 3 misdemeanor charges in 1991 1992 and 1997. After the last, he made a decision. He left the crowd he was hanging out with and changed his life for the better. Went to college and joined a fraternity and was voted best student.
Now, in 2005 he is denied a visa, due to what happened around 10 plus years ago. They didn't even see who he is now. What can we do to enable him to come back to the USA? Can his record be expunged somehow? PLEASE, all advice is welcome.
