credit card number on prepaid envelope

I had sent my passport for revalidation in May. It had prepaid fedex envelope with my credit card number in it.

my credit card number on prepaid fedex envelope is no more valid.

i called fedex they said they will return to sender and will not accept.

i called visa office. they said that they will return by normal mail to my employer or my address.

i don't know what will happen or what to do.

Can some one please suggest any thing.

Even I am having the same problem. Can you please tell me how did you get your passport back. I have already submitted an application for withdrawl and now i am very much tensed since i need to travel to India. Please let me know.

Got my Passport

Hi,

For those of you who would have the same problem. I got my passport back. Infact I faxed a letter to Washington DC stating my Credit Number was wrong and they did change my Card Number.
 
Infact I had also the same problem with Credit Card, but when i saw that FedEx picked up my passport on 12/9/2003, I immediatly spoke with FedEx and they changed to a valid number I gave and they next day I got my passport. Until today FedEx has not charged my new credit card for that shipment!!!!.
 
Fedex is at times slow in posting the charges.

But don't worry, it will eventually appear.
 
Guys

Moral of the story for all of us

1) PLEASE USE A CREDIT CARD WHICH HAS VALIDITY OF ATLEAST 8-9 MONTHS FROM THE DATE YOU SEND IT TO STL.

2) Double check or triple check the CC # , exp date before sending it to STL.

Remember its your passport which you will be getting back.
 
Other option

Get a FEDEX account. It's free. They will bill the CC on file later, but at least it will not stop your shipment.
 
I recently sent some document through FED-EX. For some unknown reasons transaction did not go through. They informed me this on the mail and asked me send the check. But the document reached properly per schedule.
