credential evaluation for EB1-EA/NIW

Dear all,

Here is one more case for you guys to evaluate and suggest..

1) I have phD from India in a advanced field, came to US in well known uni as a visiting scholar during PhD, worked as post-doc with top university.

2) 13 papers in international top journals, 5 first authored papers, rest all 2-3rd authored,

3) 141 total Citations for my papers -42 for first authored paper and rest for other papers. one of the papers was highly accessed paper after publicated on journal's website

4) 2 US patents pending...but have got application number and published on US-patent website

5) Attended 5 conferences and 1 oral presentation, 4 poster presentations

6) CSIR-India award, Visiting scholar, TMS best poster award, international conf- best poster award

7) No membership as of now

8) Haven't reviewed any papers

9) Can get 8-10 recommendations

:o Please suggest if I qualify or not and what catagory
I should apply for
 
You have moderate chances to clear NIW. And EB1-EA looks very tough. It would be good (for this category) if you have reviewing/judging experience. You may claim the following two - authorship of scholarly articles and original contribution to the field but you need a third one. Unfortunately, these awards are going to be very hard to present as lesser national or international awards.

I would now advise you to go for NIW and in the mean time, try to get reviewing experience. Get your professor to refer (and not forward the email he gets) your name to the editor as a potential reviewer.

Try EB2/NIW. Remember that EB2/NIW is pretty hard to get through (in law point of view). You have to establish the national interest. Also, you want to show how you are better than an American who is minimally qualified for the job.
