Hi everyone,
I am in a tricky situation.
I took up an intern offer and the company is now asking me to take full time job with them.
My CPT expires by the end of August and the H1 can start only from OCtober 1.
I finished my Masters and doing my Ph.D. I am availing the CPT of my Ph.D.
Now, my advisor is not letting me go and I have this one month in between where I cannot work legally. ( that is september)
Is there a way that I can work full time during this one month time period too?
I want to do this because ours is a start up company and they want workforce and they cannot let me stay away for one month.
Is there is a solution for this situation?
Can anybody please advise me. I am stuck with one of those nasty professors who has been causing trouble continuously.

Please suggest me as this is a wonderful opportunity for my career.
Thanks a lot for your attention,
Just JB

Well it is very important to keep your F-1 current while awaiting the H1 start date. You may consider talking to your employer about comp days or some other arrangements (but you should definitely be taken off the payroll during that time). I know it may be hard for you (financially), but you don't want to break the law especially if you are planning to (one day) file for GC.
