CP vs AOS

Hi,
I am a US citizen and planning to file GC for my parents currently residing in India. I reside in TX . I am not sure if I should use CP or AOS . I was wondering what are the benefits and disadvantages of either process and whihc one is fatser.
I would appreciate any help from the active members and administrator.

It really depends in many things, how much time the National Visa Center and Consulate will take and for AOS depends on your District office, so it really is your call. In some cases CP is faster.
With Consular Processing, your parents will remain abroad until the immigrant visa is obtained and they can still be doing stuff in their home country. To get a visitor visa will be difficult during this period because they already show the intent to immigrate.
AOS is just if they are inside the US and the speed will depend on your District Office. The other thing is that meanwhile they can file for work (if they going to work), travel document and they will be with you during the entire process and can help them to adapt to their new place to be.
