Hi guys,
i am going to go through CP; my interview has been scheduled at beginning of June. i received the second notification letter with documents that i have to submit at time of interview. Since i am currently living in U.S. as F1 students and my interview will be in my country, should i include the tax return information although the second notification letter doesn't mention anything about that.
is there anyone have the same experience.
your advice are highly appreciated

As I know to renew a visa you should be able to show your tax return documents (for the last 3 years). I think it applies for your case too. Anyways, it is just what I think.

No, you don't need any tax return documents. If you're sponsoring yourself, bring your last 3 months bank statement. If you're sponsored by someone from the U.S, bring the I-134.

I was in the same situation doing CP with an F-1.

I think it is wise to prepare a folder with supporting documents such as copies of tax returns with you when you are at the interview. I don't think you should send them the tax return.

Good luck.

If I were you, I would request transcripts of your tax returns for the past 4 years. They are free and it takes about two weeks to get them.

My husband and I were under F-1 visas and did CP successfully in 2006.

Good luck!

Yeah. Bring everything. When I did my CP interview, I brought everything with me, including documents that are not required like my old I-20s, old passports, financial statement for University, tax paper (W2s and 1040s), citizenship paper, family census paper, transcripts and report card from grade school to high school, etc.

At the end, they didn't even ask for any of them. Only the documents that are listed on the 2nd NL are asked.

I am in the same boat. I am bringing all IRS tax transcripts for the past 5 years. Plus old I-20s, old J-1 papers, 2-year home residency waivers, diplomas, academic transcripts, etc. etc. It's quite thick. Good luck to all CP people.
