CP to AOS

Hi all,

My PD is March 2nd week, 2003 and was scheduled the CP interview on June 13th 2007. However because of an motor vehicle accident just before the interview, we had to reschedule it to July, and requested rescheduling again beacuse of the same injuries. US consulate has suggested that next interview will be scheduled after the 2008 quota opens in October and the PD is current.

My lawyer is suggesting that I should try AOS, as I will atleast get the EAD soon.

I am not sure if moving to AOS is a decision I should consider at this time?

Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks for your response.

My interview was scheduled at Mumbai consulate. Also, I requested US consulate to reschedule in August - They replied that visa numbers are unavailable for year 2007 and new numbers will be available from October.
