CP Successful at Mumbai on DEC 18.

Successfully completed GC interview at Mumbai on DEC 18.
Only following documents were asked.
for me :
1. DS - 230 Part I & II.
2. IRS - 9003.
3. Employment letter.
4. copy of Birth & marriage certificate.(Checked originals).
5. medical reports (no - XRAY)
6. Passport
7. 3 immigrant photos

for spouse.
1. DS 230
2. irs -9003.
3. I-134 affidavit of support.
4. copy of marriage cert.
5. Birth cert (given notarized affidavit & non-availability).
6. medical reports (no - XRAY)
7. Passport
8. 3 immigrant photos

Ques. asked was what I do in US.
Was asked to come at 3PM to collect PP,
reacheed there at 3.50PM , but window opened at 4PM and about 60-70 people in queue (very small queue) as from OCT 22 all non-immigrant applicants are
required to obtain interview and feel up application form at few centers they hv opened.
Also all non-immigrants PP are send thru courier.

They do accept Application fee ($260) in USD, but we need to feel up separate form available at security. $100 bills are not acceptable, so can take 50,20 & $10 bills.
Done medical at lilavati and took snaps at My own photo studia- Breach kendy.
Pls let me know if someone has any questions.

Where do I apply for this I have my interview end of Jan

All only non-immigrant visas sent back by courier after approval?
We are hearing that immigrant visas will be sent to applicants by courier after they are approved.
Is this true?

Congratulations!
I do have a question for you. Did you read any notices outside the consulate regarding the consulate mailing your IV approval papers and stamped passport to you at your local address after the interview? As of now, we got it back the same evening but there\'s a discussion going on in this forum regarding this issue. I have my interview on Jan 23rd and will need to buy the ticket soon- but if the consulate is going to mail us the papers, I need to know how many days post-interview I need to stay in Mumbai. Will 4-5 days be enough? I\'d appreciate your input. Thanks in advance!

I have a similar question as MJ1 and ud have posted... Regarding Passports being sent by courier.

Our interview is scheduled for 27 December 2001 and our return tickets are for 30 December 2001.

Assuming that our CP interview is successful,
- Would we be able to pick up the passports from the consulate on the same day.
- Or, would the consulate courier the passports to our Indian address? In which case, we may have to make changes to our travel plans (may be difficult this time of the year).

Could you please comment?

Congrats !!!! Question about DS230 form

I think DS-230 Part 1 is send in packet 3. I need to carry DS-230 Part 2. Isn\'t right? DO I need to make another DS-230 Part 1?

For Mumbai Courier service has not started yet for GC.

There was no notice regarding it.
Even if they start by courier it comes next day service withing bombay.

IRS - 9003 is yellow color form comes in Packet4.

Even if u submit DS-230 Part I, they don\'t have the records handy it seems. So atleast u hv to submit photocopy of DS-230 Part I.
I have given OF-230 , so form was different and hence need to fill up again.

Congratulations!

You indicated that the consulate does not have the OF230 Part I handy and that we need to take it with us. Do they have our LC and 140 handy or do we have to take them also? Please clarify. Thanks in advance.
 
No need for H1 or I-140. As when they generate the case they check all this

information. When I went to counter they only had my appointment letter (subitted at cashier counter) and Medical reports file. I didn\'t see any other file/information with them. So it is only assumption that they don\'t hv other information handy as it will be difficult to manage for them to keep all files at the counter window. Information given in DS-230 I & II, are entered in your Green card information. So they only need to re-verify this information.
Also in Packet4 letter it is clearly mentioned that they need DS-230 Part I & II at the time of interview and they also give blank forms for both of this and IRS-9003. so u MUST carry them.

I also heard that they are not strict about PCC in Jan. In case they hv doubt they will ask to produce at later date and yr GC will be issued.
