hi,

i have a couple of questions, would appreciate any help

a) i just got my I140 approved in a surprisingly short time (3.5 months, Employer sponsored outstanding researcher). but i had indicated on my I140 that i am planning to file I485. now i am thinking of going for CP because it is faster and i dont want to be stuck with my present employer for another 1.5 years. is this a good choice ?

b) which embassy should i ask for the CP interview? my parents reside in delhi, but may move out to bangalore in 6 months or so.

thanks a lot for the help !

CP any day !

File I-824, then as soon as you get the filing receipt for I-824 (takes 2-3 weeks) then go ahead and ask your attorney to file for AC-140 at the New Delhi embassy (assuming your own passport indicates that your home address in India is in the Northern Zone; parents address is irrelevant ).
You should get your GC interview in 3-4 months after the Embassy gets your application. See www.immihelp.com for details of the AC-140 process.

my passport was issued in washington dc

hi

thanks for the advice! however, my passport was issued in washington dc, i got my last H1 visa in delhi consulate, and my last f1 visa (and school/college certificates) from chennai. so which consulate am i supposed to choose?

another issue is that i dont have an attorney so far. my employer filed the I140, and then just sort of left me on my own...

would appreciate any help ...
