CP or 485?.

Hi All :
   I am applying for I-140 and am not decided whether to apply for CP or
   485 (I am single.)
   
   If I choose CP now and would like to change to I-485, how long would it
   take?.
 Or
   If I choose 485 now and later want to change to CP, how long would it
   take?.

   Is there any other way to postpone the decision for CP while applying
   for I-140?.

   Any Response is greatly appreciated!

Opt for CP ..as u can go to 485 at any stage without loosing any time....but reverse will cost u cou

It might help you to make up your mind.

If you decide for CP now, you can change your mind and file I-485 after your I-140 approval by just simply filing a form I-485. However, if you opt for AOS during your I-140 filing and you change your mind, then after your I-140 approval you have to file another form I-824 (3-6 months wait) to be able to switch to CP. If I were you, I would opt for CP now. This will keep both options (CP and I-485) open to you after your I-140 approval.
