CP guruz plz..help

Hi,
My H1 has already expired on 10/31/01.I will be going to CP (New Delhi) in May.Do you all see any problem in getting the CP done with expired H1.

You should be in status when going for CP interview

From what you say about expiry of your H-1 you will be over 180 days out of status.
Don\'t mean to scare you but You better do some thing about it else you might be barred for 3-10 years from ENTERING US.

I dont know what you mean by H1 expired ??? You need to have the H1 Approval to work legally in US. If you mean your Visa expired in the passport then its fine. If not, you sure have problem. My visa had expired in the passport but I had received the approval for the H1 extension. During my CP interview I was asked for the H1 approval notice.

What abt yr I94?

MY H1 visa stamp has expired in Sept,01, but my 797 is valid and so does I94. This leads me to be in status.

I94 is key. If you have valid I94 (through entry or through new 797), then there should not be an issue.
