I am planning to self petition in EB1-EA and NIW category. I was wondering if I coudl get soem help in drafting the letter. What all should be included in the cover letter?

I was thinking of thsi format. Please correct me if I am wrong -

1) 1st page list of all that is included in the application package followed by details about and justfication of my current research, my past research work- (from PhD to masters project) . papers and significant finding in each, my educational qualifications details, details about citations, awards, eveidence from the media about my work etc.
Finally I would like to summarize all and end it highlighting the main points again.

Do you think it will work. How long or short it has to be? any catchy statements etc to include? Should I also comment on the reco letters?

Should I just club all the recos together (from both known and unknown guys) or shoudl I separate them in two sets?

What else I shoud take care of? Can anyone share a sample cover letter ( after removing all the personal details etc)

Thanks in advance

It will not work for NIW
I will suggest you to do little bit more research.
read some AAO decisions for for type of cases to learn from their mistakes.

Here is what I am planning to do for my EB1-EA application:

1st Page: Very very brief. Just a couple of lines urging the immigration officer to look at the attached exhibits ex. 1 to ex. ??.
All subsequent pages of the cover letter: One or two paragraphs statement that I am applying for EB1-EA under section ?? of immigration manual ??. I have achieved sustained extraordinary success in my research etc. I am qualified to file under this category as I fulfil ?? out of 10 criteria.

The remainder of the cover letter would be split into x section, corresponding to the x criteria that I claim to fulfill.
Section I: My recognition among top researchers in my field. List the names and titles of people providing the reference letter. Write few excerpts from each reference letter.
Section II: Awards. List the awards and list which attached exhibit they can be found in.
Section III: publications. List the publication and the exhibit number where they can be found.
Section IV: Published materials about my research. List and point to the proper exhibit number
Section V: Evidence of serving as a reviewer
Section VI: Membership in professional societies
Section VII: Other evidence. List the invited talks and conference proceeding. Indicate the exihibit numbers corresponding to that.
