How do you get the non-availability certificate? I had submitted a birth cert. from NY consulate but still got a RFE for bc's. I am planning to get the affidavit done from the home country soon.

Vasu,

The letter format looks good enough. I would only remove the first bullet point amongst the list of enclosures. Usually you would just list what documents accompany the letter and not list the letter itself.

Tigerclaws,

I didnt understand your question. You said you submitted the birth certificates. The how did you get a RFE for the certificates?

Vinayak

I did submit the BC, but that was from the consulate general of NY-India. I have added a separate post with the complete details. Appreciate if you could post your thoughts on how I should go about answering the RFE.

I have just answered your question in the separate thread. Hope it helps a little bit if not completely.
