countries where we don't need VISA after GC

To broaden my horizon, I want to travel to (and pref. work in )countries other than US without worrieing about visas..

Do you know any countries allowing that? I know that GC holders don't need visa in Switzerland for travel.

You don't need visa to go to Canada and all the countries in the Carribean. But I think you will need visa to go to countries in Europe.

I've heard that if you have a US green card you don't need a visa to enter Switzerland. Please verify this info.

You don't need a Visa for Switzerland after GC in hand, but as far as I remember you need the actual card, the stamp in passport alone is not enough.
For Canada, I think the stamp is enough.

but I think it works for american citizens only. Anyway, it says one doesn't need a visa for Switzerland and I know for sure there is no need for visa if one has greencard.

Sorry to follow up my own post, but with GC you are only allowed 90 days visit to switzerland. Here's the website.
