countries list on RTD application

After calling the nebraska service to get info. on which travel document i needed since i'm an asylee with a pending 1-485 and being misled as always, one time they tell me i only need RTD another time they say advance parole, and i kid you not they transfered me to an information officer who told me that i'm required to get both RTD and advance parole!!!. I went a head and i applied for both of them. is that dumb on my part or what?? :-). am i in trouble??? is that right??
also what if i list on the application some countries and i decided to go to a different country, am i allowed to do so? does the RTD have a list of your desired countries on it???? please help on my questions.
 
Sorry, this is not an answer to this question. Can someone out there please walk me through how to post on this site.

Ah--they joys of talking to a [mis]information officer. You need just the RTD, and it does not matter if you go to countries not specified in your application. Just dont go to your home country.

RTD is all you need. People with asylee/refugee I-485s pending do NOT need advance parole.
