I need help to count my 6 years of H1B Visa
Here is some detail before I go to my questions:
1) My First H1B petition for X Inc. was approved for 03/24/1999 to 10/01/2000
2) I entered into USA to work for X Inc. on 06/22/1999.
3) X Inc. could not employe me and I was offered job by
Y Inc.
4) Now Y Inc. filed my H1B petition and extension of stay.
5) I got my H1B petition for Y Inc. approved starting on 09/22/1999 to 11/15/2001, But INS denied my extension of stay as I was not employed by X Inc and basis to enter USA was to work with X Inc.
6) I left USA on 11/04/1999 to India and got New H1B Visa stamped for Y Inc. for approved H1B petition.
7) I came back to USA with new H1B Visa to work with Y Inc. on 03/19/2000.
8) I worked with Y Inc. from 03/19/2000 to 05/31/2001.
9) Then I have been working with Z Inc.
Now My Questions are:
a) would 6 years start from the starting date (03/24/1999) of first approved H1B petition (for X Inc. )?
OR
It would start from the date(06/22/1999) on which I first time entered USA to work for X Inc.
b) Does the period( 06/22/1999 to 11/04/1999 ) when I was waiting in USA for decision of my extension of stay filed by Y Inc. count for 6 years of my H1B?
c) Does the period when I was absent in USA ( 11/05/1999 to 03/18/2000 ) count for 6 years of my H1B? ( I went to India to get my new Visa stamped, During that period I worked with India branch of Y Inc.)
