Did FP in Oct 2002. FBI said it forwarded the results to INS the second day. INS on-line status check never updated. How should I correct this issue? Grateful for any suggestions. Have an indifferent lawyer by the way.
 
I would not worry.

Hi, Check with the FBI number. You can look it up using the search button on the top of this page. If FBI says your prints were O.K and have been forwarded to INS, just chill and wait.
These are hard times for all of us.

Thank you for your suggestion. FBI did tell me over the phone that my FP record was sent over to INS the second day after I did the FP back in Oct. 2002.

I wouldn't worry about it then. Thanks and hope CSC can speed up a little for all of us.
 
I gave finger prints in 09/2002. Online status says


"Status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. ......"

when I call the automated system it says "We have received your application for I485............"

Please let me know if I should contact service center(NSC).

Fingerprinting done sometime in Nov'2002. Yet the online message still says I485 application received and it is taking 450 to 480 days etc etc. Contacted FBI and they mentioned that they had forwarded the results to INS the same day but still no update on the online system.Nothing much to do but wait till INS or BCIS or whatever gets some time to update their Database.
 
did complete finger printing on 01/24/2003. Status on immigration site still says

Current Status:
On December 19, 2002, we mailed a notice requesting that you appear for fingerprint recording. The notice also gave the times and location where this processing could be done. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please contact the service center where you submitted your application during business hours.

They supposed to update the status to we recieved finger prints etc...
when i called F.B.I ,THEY mentioned to me they already responded to I.N.S on next day itself. Please suggest me .
