Hi ,

this is my situtation. I got my H1b & wife's H4 visa extended upto 2006 . But, our PP US visa stamping date expires next month. So, my question is , can we get extension stamping from here in US or i have to go back to india, to get stamping...I am asking this, bcoz of current rule, which came in Newspaper...

Could somebody please advice me ...(:

Thanks alren for your reply...So if I plan to visit india... there is no other options other than getting revalidated from outside US....?
 
If your schedule permits you can go to canada or mexico or anyother country outside US...Its not necessary that you have to get it stamped in india.

Whether we have to take appointments in india or can we use drop box ?
what are the documents i need to carry to get h1b/h4 revalidated ?
 
I believe everybody other than under 14 and above 65(not sure abt the age but something close) have to go for personal interview ...as you need to give FP.
Reg docs to take its all over this portal and also on DOS and chennai consulate website.
 
Correction!!
Everyone has to go the Consulate .. Even 3 months baby also.
But FP is is taken from under 14 years and above 65 years .
So Everyone has to go The consulate .There is no drop box facility.

Drop box is also a thing of past. You need to take an appointment.
