Hello,
My resident since date is 7/2/2007. GC welcome notice date is 8/27/2007.

Is there a a way i can get it corrected for Resident Since date?

(begs the question: what is the APPROVAL Date? i have welcome notice dated Aug 27 while lawyer has a welcome notice dated Aug 30. Apparently no approval notice)

There is another thread thread where someone mentions it can be done, in a FTJ case.

Please give your esteemed advise.

Do i even have an error?

I spoke to 1800 Customer service # and she couldnt tell what the approval date is.

Following her advice I have set up an InfoPass appointment next week.

I am planning to take my GC and welcome notice.

Why am i doing it?

If approval date indeed is Aug 27, this might help my wife's case to avoid 245[k] as hers was received on July 2, 2007 (we have receipts for 485/131/765 and have an upcoming biometrics for her).

I am hesitant to have her travel on AP if 245[k] applies: since POE an officer might prevent us if some IO mistakenly denies her application while she is abroad....therefore wont be able to enter if assumed out of status....

Should i not do it?

Cancel Infopass and forget about it as I have seen RealCanadian mention 245[k] for spouse in a lot of threads since 2004.

Can this have repercussions esp., to wife's case if i am stirring trouble...

What is the problem with the July 2nd date? Besides, the welcome notice is always dated after the case is approved.

It won't make a difference for your wife's case.

Worst comes to worst, they'll issue an NOID, not just deny the case straight away. At which point you remind them of 245k; but I've never heard of a 245k misapplication.

I think you're worrying over nothing.

Real Canadian, I want to thank you for your continuing contributions and bringing clarity to everyone. My lawyer didn't know 245[k] so am glad you gave that light. :)

As for worrying, cant help it. Have seen exceptional cases applied to me, even when possibility is low, many times, mostly for no fault of mine

Since there is no body of knowledge, just want to build up info in case this something happens.

Once again, very glad to learn from you.

THANK YOU!!!

So should i just cancel the Infopass?
