converting from F1(OPT) or H1 to H4

Hi,

Can anyone help me provide some details or info on how to convert from F1(OPT) to H4.

I recently got married and my wife is on F1(OPT).
Both of us are in US. So, I need to convert her visa status from F1(OPT) to H4 without her going back to India.
Does she have to goto India to get H4 or can that be done in US only?

Is this possible?

If yes, how do i file it.

Apply with the relevant service center (where you got H1), with I539 (see INS web site- Forms link), copy of your passport visa pages, marriage certificate- certified, letter from your employer, recent paystubs, I94 copy of spouse, copy of spouse's passport main pages...
