you need to talk to your HR and attorney, who will assign you a login id and password to login to your company's account with PERM, then you can type in your case number and check status.

Did your case got withdrawn from BEC yet?
 
BEC to PERM Conversion

Hi All,

I applied for PERM conversion on September 1st (RIR convertedto PERM). After reading all your comments i saw my old case is DENIED the one which is at BEC?

Does this means my converted PERM is DENIED?

Hi. I just converted to PERM on Nov. 24. Below is my info:

EB3/RIR
PD: 10/29/2004
D-BEC 45-d letter received and sent back: 2/17/06
Withdrawn D-BEC/Filed PERM: 11/24/06
BEC status display: In Process
PERM status display: In Process

I have applied for my perm on Jan 4,06(maintaining my PD).But till now I have not recieved any information.How can I get my status checked?

Your employer needs to login his account (or you if you have access to it) and search entering your case number. When found it will display the date it was filed (actual PERM date, not PD) and the status.
 
Let me explain my case.I filed under RIR in the month of October 2004.In January 2006,I changed it to PIRM.My case was withdrawn from RIR and filed under PIRM maintaining the priority date.Now it is almost an year and I have not recieved any information (positive or negative).I did get the 45 days notice from RIR to which my attorny had replied that we have withdrawn it from RIR and filed under perm.When I ask my lawyer he tells me to wait.He says that he cannot do anything except just waiting.He says he checks the status every day but till now there is no news.Can you suggest me what can I do in that case.

I understand your plight but you can't do anything other than praying and waiting. The conversion timeline seems to be unpredictable, I believe the conversion filed in last few months may be getting approved faster? The reason I'm saying is because I applied for PERM conversion in Oct and got it certified today.

Wow my case was cerified today. In 62 days the LC to PERM conversion went through. Filed for LC in 2/22/05. Applied for PERM conversion on 10/6/06. Few days latter the case was withdrawn from Backlog center. Certified on 12/6/06. Mine was filed under EB-2. Thanks to everyone for your support.
 
congratulations to those whose cases have been approved and retained the PD.
Mine was filed on 10/11, I haven't seen it been withdrawn from BEC.
It seemed the process has speed up quite a bit since october since it takes a couple of folks only 2-3 weeks from withdrawn to certified.
I don't know why i am always being the unlucky one. :mad:

Does anyone know what could delay the process? Lawyer error? Employer error?

Congratulations! Mine is still showing in process at BEC. Converted to PERM on 11/24/06.

luckyz, don't give up hope. No one can predict how long this takes. From the extensive reasearch I did on the 'Net I have not seen any denial of LC to PERM conversion case ( of course it's possible people didn't post in any message board) so that's a positive news. Hopefully it will happen soon. Good luck to you. As you can see mine took 62 days for conversion.

Any idea how long it takes from when DOL website says old case status is "Withdrawn" to the actual PERM approval?

My EB2 PERM conversion case was filed July 6th, DOL status of old labor case showed "In Process" till Dec 1st, when it changed to "Withdrawn". It took 5 months for that to happen. I hope it doesn't take 5 more months for PERM approval!

Losing hope !!!

Hi Guys,

I have applied for the PERM conversion on July 11, 2006. My original priority date for a California EB2 application was December 2002. My old case is still "In Process" and my lawyer says the PERM case is also in Process...

I am in the 6th year of my H-1, dont know if I have to swith employers now and get some approved labor..

I have lost faith in this freakin' system.....

Is there any one applied for conversion during July 2006?

I have also been waiting for a while for PERM conversion.

Applied for PERM conversion on July 6th 2006. On Dec 1st 2006, old case status changed to "Withdrawn", but PERM still hasn't been approved.

My labor certification shows today as withdrawn from Dallas BEC.

PD: 10/24/04
Refiled PERM: 11/24/06
BEC withdrawn: 12/14/06
PERM status: In Process

Did you refile under EB2 or EB3?
 
Still waiting...

Since it is more than 5 months now,is there anything I can do? I asked my HR to call or email to find out the status of the PERM as it is more than what they can 4-6 weeks. So far, the HR and Lawyer are very reluctant to call or email. I dont know if this is normal or not. I am pressurising through my boss to find out the status at least. Is there anyting else I can do?

I dont think anything will move this month due to holidays and I guess I will have to wait if anything happens in Jan.
