conversation with VSC representative

Hi,

I talked with VSC representative today regarding my I-485 (EB1-EA, RD 11/14/2004). She told me that my file is in review with an officer for adjudication, and should hear from them in 30 days. I aksed about my name check and she said that it should be taken care off. Does anyone knows what does this really mean?

I-140/I-485 (EB1-EA and NIW) RD 11/14/04
I-140 AD 3/14/05 (both)
I-485 LUD 8/7/06
EAD (third) RD 8/31/06 AD 9/22/06

I have a question, your signature shows that you submitted ea and NIW together and both got approved at the same time? Did you submit 485 linked to which application?
 
I got finger printing notice today, telling me that my old finger print is expired, and they need new. This is after I talked with the VSC represenative, who said that my case is with officer for abjudication. Does it mean GC approval is near...any comments

Hi miaingc,

you will get approval notice soon. When is your LUD? Did your LUD change after you talked to VSC representative?
 
you are almost done!!!

You will get your approvals soon after your FP. the way it works is that you file must hae got into the hands of an officer who is reviewing yoru case and he has initiated the FP as your old FP must have expired. So expect your approval in a week or so after your FP.

Can anybody please share how to contact VSC? I used to be able to call them using the 800-375-5283 number via several selections. Lately that method doesn't seem to work any more. Each time I was directly to a National Services Rep.

Below is the information U can use to talk with VSC represantative

Press 1 (for english),
press 2 (for existing case),
press 6 (for case statues etc),
then press 1( for knowing your receipt no.),
enter the receipt # to get the automated response saying blah blah blah and also at the end saying this is the most upto date information on your case and our customer the same info national customer service agents have (i totally agree with this).
Then choose to continue to the next step "press 3" . choose 3
Listen to the options-
Option 4 "if you feel if you submitted together and one of the applications is left out and not processed (don't remmember the exact message text ..but something about companion case "

You get transferred to VSC after choosing option 4.

If you call after VSC operating hours you will be asked to call the National Service center with this message
""there are no immigration officers at this service center at this time, please call the USCIS national customer service center".

Any developments on your I-485? My finger print is on 20th Oct.

I notice lud everyday on my wife's case (we responded to rfe on 13th).
 
When I called to VSC couple weeks ago I was told that they do not
give away the information about security checks. Is that a right statement?
Does it mean that the only way to find out the status of your name check
is to get in touch with congressman or senator?
