Just called IIO at 4:10 p.m. and asked for the status for my case. My RD is 10/7/99, EB1, China, and did FP on 3/21/00. The IIO said that it would take another 30 to 45 days to process.? Actually she also said that my case was not taking longer than anybody else, though it was longer than 540 days that was on the automatic message.

Anybody has any comment?

ND 11/8/99, FP 3/8/01. EB2. Called IIO 4/9/01 and asked why people who filed AFTER me were getting approvals in EB2 & EB3. She didn\'t have a clue, only to say that it is pending and could take few months.
I have been told that I-485 cases are assigned to adjudicators. Therefore, the resonse time varies because it depends on how fast adjudicators work, their vacation schedules, sick time off, etc. etc. From this bulletin, I have heard that INS also makes mistakes in EB? categories, e.g. if you filed I-140 with EB2, they might enter it EB3 which mean now they have to wait for priority date for visa availability

I am the same as yoyo, EB1, China, ND=7/0ct/99, FP=1/3/01. Still waiting. I was told to wait one more month when I called about 1 month ago but when I called half month ago, I was told to wait another 30 to 45 days. You know that is the gorvnment agency, and they have the power, that\'s why it is so slow and no body can predict anything. Well, what can we do about this except waiting at this point? Hopelly, it will be our turn soon.
