I was able to talk to IIO just now. Useless information. I had to wait for a few minutes but it did not take even 5 tries to get through.

IIO: You have called a week ago.
Me: Yes. I forgot to ask a few questions.
IIO: OK
ME: I know my case has been with an officer. Do you know how long has it been?
IIO: Cannot tell you that. You probably will hear from us 4 to 5 weeks from now. (Note: last Friday, I was told by the end of this month or early next month)
ME: How long does it usually take them to review a case?
IIO: some up to 2 months.
ME: some cases later that mine are approved.
IIO: Every case is different
ME: How often do you update the AVRecording?
IIO: Whenever there is any changes in the case.
I asked again, because I read in this site that some cases are approved but the recording was never changed. She is getting impatient.
ME: What else can you tell me about my case?
IIO: Nothing is going on with your case.

What useless information. It really drove me mad.

similar thing happened to me yesterday , this lady was not ready to give any information other than it is pending. I was specifically asking her if it is with officer. how long it will take. everytime same answer "we are not allowed to tell other than it is pending"

Once you know your case is being reviewed, the only thing useful you may possiblly find by talking to the IIO is: it is approved or still pending. If the status of your account on her computer is "BEING REVIEWED", whatever other details she tells you is her guess only. Because only the officer who is having your file knows when he/she will get to your case in the pile on his/her desk. My friend once was told the same bullshit, "the case is pending and will take another 5 or 6 weeks", and then his case account gets updated to "APPROVED" on the next day. My own case is currently being reviewed too (I have 09/29/99 ND), and every time I called IIO, I only asked him if it is approved or not, I did not even want to hear other bullshit which may be randomly coming up from his/her mind.

You really want to say somthing silly when guys answer like that.Gosh this whole GC process is just killing everybody. It seems to me that you have to keep on telling yourself to stay cool. WHAT A TEST
